Requirements
Must:
- Associate or bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience as an IT Support Technician or in a similar position.
- Strong knowledge of computer systems, mobile devices, and various technological products.
- Ability to diagnose and resolve basic technical problems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to provide step-by-step technical assistance.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, or similar are advantageous.
- Capability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and conditions.
- Comfort with complexity and change.
- Willingness to travel to other Pete and Gerrys locations.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Comfort working with ladders, man lifts, and in tight spaces.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for users needing IT assistance.
- Respond promptly to incidents and service requests with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
- Lead by example, addressing new issues through collaboration with escalation teams.
- Act as a bridge between support tiers and functional groups.
- Provide training to users on various technology topics.
- Triage and manage Help Desk tickets effectively.
- Delegate tasks to team members as necessary and prioritize the ticket queue according to business needs.
- Report project statuses to management and/or escalation teams.
- Establish and refine current and new support procedures.
- Investigate issues that require additional documentation.
- Create and maintain knowledge articles for use by both team members and users.
- Participate in the implementation and design of Jira Help Desk.
- Document, troubleshoot, and track incidents, ensuring timely resolutions or appropriate escalations.
- Provide support for various application and domain account provisioning and de-provisioning.
- Troubleshoot computers, phones, office equipment, and applications to resolve operational difficulties.
- Support IT installation projects in-house.
- Handle data runs, including installation and termination of cabling.
- Install endpoints and other IT equipment.
- Use ladders and man lifts to complete installation projects.
