Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- Over 5 years of experience managing and deploying network devices (routers, switches, load balancers, access points)
- Proficient in advanced problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, including wire capture analysis
- Experience in network segmentation to mitigate risks to critical network processes
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with incident and problem management (preferred)
- Familiarity with SD-Wan solutions, preferably Silverpeak/Aruba Edge Connect (preferred)
- Network certifications such as CCNA or CCNP (preferred)
- Expertise in managing various types of network transport (MPLS, Ethernet, Broadband, T1, LTE, Satellite) (preferred)
- Knowledge of cloud-managed networks like Aruba Central or Cisco Meraki (preferred)
- Experience with cloud networking on major platforms (preferred)
- Background in operational technology networks, familiar with the Purdue model for ICS (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain LAN/WAN infrastructure, including routers, SD-WAN, switches, firewalls, and wireless systems
- Collaborate with diverse teams to support network-related projects and initiatives
- Implement and uphold network security measures including VPNs, firewalls, and access controls
- Conduct network capacity planning and suggest upgrades or enhancements as necessary
- Maintain thorough documentation of network configurations, processes, and changes
- Provide Tier II support for escalated network issues from both customers and junior engineers
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex network problems in real time to ensure smooth operations
- Work closely with senior engineers, IT operations, and security teams to enhance network performance and reliability
