Requirements

Must:
- Masters degree in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific domains such as physics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or engineering management, or 18 years of relevant experience as a Systems Engineer in lieu of a degree. - 18 years of professional experience in settings related to government or industry, focusing on areas like DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or the engineering of complex System of Systems. - Significant expertise in geospatial intelligence. - Proven track record in engineering solutions utilizing Cloud-Based Technologies, including Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). - Proficiency in engineering solutions that incorporate Automation, Augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies. - Solid understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle. - TS/SCI security clearance adjudication, or the capability to obtain SCI and successfully pass a polygraph test. - (Desired) Doctorate in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific disciplines. - (Desired) Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering techniques, processes, tools, and languages. - (Desired) Certification in Software Development Framework. - (Desired) INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification and/or professional engineering licensure. - (Desired) Expertise in cybersecurity services integration across the Zero Trust DoD pillars.

Responsibilities

- Provide expert support to the Government in steering engineering initiatives across NSG, ASG, and Federal Agencies. - Assess and strategize user requirements, ensuring architecture traceability and system enhancements, including cloud services and automation processes. - Offer guidance on design solutions and propose modifications based on changing needs and technology advancements. - Convert mission objectives and client requirements into technical capabilities and system specifications. - Aid in distributing requirements across architecture components and facilitate integration across various systems. - Lead or participate in Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments. - Provide support for strategic planning, project oversight, and interface design. - Deliver expert recommendations to synchronize technical vision, strategy, capability advancement, and future requirements. - Operate at an enterprise level to integrate multiple major systems acquisitions across agencies and international landscapes. - Utilize extensive knowledge of the NSG/ASG and NRO enterprise environments to inform decision-making.
