Requirements

Must:
We require candidates to possess a Bachelor's degree and have 12 years of relevant experience, a Master's degree and 10 years, or a PhD and 7 years of experience. We accept equivalent four years of work experience in place of a degree. You should have proven experience as a Splunk Administrator or in a similarly focused role. A strong understanding of Splunk architecture, components, and deployment options is essential. You should be proficient in Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) for creating complex search queries and reports. Experience with Splunk data ingestion methods, such as forwarders, HTTP Event Collector (HEC), and scripted inputs is needed. Familiarity with Splunk Enterprise Security (ES), Qumolos, and Splunk SOAR is a plus. A solid understanding of IT infrastructure, including networking, operating systems, and security principles, is expected. We are looking for excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong communication and collaboration abilities. A TS/SCI clearance is required. Certifications desired include Splunk Architect and Splunk Certified Administrator, along with a required 8140/8570 IAT Level III certification.

Responsibilities

In this role, you will install, configure, and maintain Splunk environments. You will monitor the health, performance, and capacity utilization of the Splunk infrastructure. Implementing best practices for Splunk deployment, configuration, and optimization is key. You will design and manage Splunk data models, indexes, and search heads, as well as develop and maintain Splunk alerts, dashboards, and reports to meet client needs. Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to Splunk configuration, data ingestion, and search performance will be part of your responsibilities. Collaboration with client stakeholders and cross-functional teams to integrate Splunk with other systems and applications is essential. Additionally, you will provide training and support to client teams on Splunk usage and best practices.
