Requirements
Must:
- Masters degree in Systems Engineering or related technical/scientific fields such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, engineering management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or a related STEM degree, or 12 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in place of a degree.
- Over 12 years of professional experience in government or industry related to DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or systems engineering of large complex Systems of Systems or Service-Oriented Architecture/Cloud environments.
- Proficiency in the systems engineering lifecycle.
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to acquire SCI clearance and successfully pass a polygraph.
- PhD in Systems Engineering or in related technical/scientific fields.
- Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, including processes, tools, and languages.
- Certification in Software Development Frameworks.
- INCOSE Expert System Engineering Professional (ESEP) certification.
- Licensure as a professional engineer.
- Active membership or leadership involvement in professional organizations such as ACSM, ASCE, ASPRS, OGC, SAREM, or USGIF.
- Extensive experience in geospatial intelligence.
- Experience in engineering solutions utilizing Cloud-Based Technology such as Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), On-demand self-service, Broad network access, Resource pooling, Rapid elasticity, Measured service, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.
- Experience with structured and unstructured Big Data solutions.
- Experience in engineering automation, augmentation, and Artificial Intelligence technologies.
- Proven expertise in fields related to photogrammetry, remote sensing, image science, information sciences, geographic information systems, geomatics, or similar disciplines.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and oversee requirements engineering efforts, solutions development, systems integration, scheduling, resilience, testing, evaluation, and maintainability assessments.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to the Government based on your expertise in system requirements and advancing technologies.
- Convert complex mission and customer specifications into practical system requirements and technical solutions.
- Participate in the planning and traceability of user specifications, architectures, and processes to enhance existing systems and analyze cloud services abilities and limitations.
- Conduct essential integration and architecture analyses that influence future capabilities and system interoperability.
- Lead or assist in conducting Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), trade studies, and engineering evaluations.
- Offer strategic technical insights across project management, performance engineering, risk assessment, and interface design.
- Coordinate systems integration across federal agencies at high organizational levels.
- Mentor and supervise systems engineers at various levels, ensuring collaborative and technically proficient project delivery.
