Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree with 12 years of experience, Masters degree with 10 years of experience, or Ph.D. with 7 years of experience preferred in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency in software development in one or more languages such as Python, Go, or Java, with DevOps experience and familiarity with CI/CD and version control management.
- Experience with network and system automation tools, such as Ansible, Helm, or Puppet.
- Knowledge of virtualization and container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes, and Vagrant.
- Quick ability to learn new technologies, redirect research, prototype solutions, and influence research direction.
- Understanding of network protocols, automation, and devices including routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Familiarity with reverse engineering tools such as Ghidra or IDA Pro for system and malware analysis as needed.
- Strong documentation skills to effectively communicate research findings to government stakeholders.
- Experience working with members of the Intelligence Community (IC) and related Department of Defense (DOD) customers.
- Willingness to collaborate at customer research sites primarily in College Park, MD.
- Active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is required for this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research and develop network-based prototypes, including software, scripts, and documentation to showcase capabilities in emerging network technologies like high-speed and wireless networking.
- Design and create advanced large-scale prototypes in virtualized settings, including cloud infrastructure, containers, and network function virtualization (NFV).
- Provide technical guidance while collaborating with government project managers to influence and steer their research initiatives, detail technical information for customer stakeholders, and partner with other contractors to develop prototypes.
- Work proactively in a fast-paced environment, acquiring necessary skills and demonstrating expertise in software development, networking, data monitoring, reverse engineering, and more.
