Requirements

Must:
- Minimum of 12 years of experience in a Network Security Engineer role or related position supporting DoD/IC programs - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity Engineering, System Engineering, Network Engineering, or a similar discipline; 4 years of additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree for a total of 16 years - Over 5 years of experience applying security software and hardware principles across various router and switch platforms like Juniper, FORE, and Cisco - Proven experience in the installation and support of networks, with extensive knowledge in network security - Proficient in troubleshooting LAN/WAN, VLANs, and VoIP technologies - Skilled in routing protocols such as RIP, OSPF, and EIGRP - Knowledgeable in authentication methods like AAA/TACACS - Experienced in implementing and troubleshooting secure network products including VPNs and IDS/IPS - Demonstrated ability in designing, implementing, and securing Software Defined Networking solutions - Experience in supporting security compliance processes, including planning, assessments, and audits - Active/current Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification required; progress toward Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification is beneficial - US Citizenship and an active/current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph are mandatory.

Responsibilities

- Design, engineer, and validate secure network and system solutions across multiple enclaves with diverse security requirements - Recommend and implement security solutions that fulfill mission, compliance, and operational needs - Conduct security planning, assessments, and risk analyses, including documentation and communication of risk management decisions - Assist our government customer in maintaining secure and trusted relationships among external systems and architectures - Engineer SDN-enabled architectures, ensuring robust segmentation, policy enforcement, and access control - Install, configure, and secure network telecommunications infrastructure while troubleshooting security capabilities - Develop and maintain network security documentation, including design packages, interface control documentation, and compliance evidence - Perform root-cause analysis of connectivity issues and implement corrective actions to ensure mission availability - Provide technical leadership, guidance, and participate in design and security review processes
