Requirements
Must:
- At least 6 years of experience with a Bachelors degree, 4 years with a Masters, or 2 years with a Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field. In lieu of a Bachelors, 4 additional years of experience totaling 10 years is required.
- Proven software development experience focused on building and integrating applications/services in complex environments.
- Hands-on proficiency in Python and familiarity with at least one of the following: C/C++, Java, or Go.
- Understanding of secure development practices in controlled environments.
- Proficient in software engineering methodologies and tools such as Git/GitHub/GitLab, Agile practices, CI tools like Jenkins.
- Strong problem-solving capabilities with a history of quick technology adaptation and delivering results in ambiguous settings.
- Excellent communication skills for articulating technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- US Citizenship with an active/current TS/SCI clearance and polygraph is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain research infrastructure software for complex systems.
- Integrate existing software into new or adapted systems, ensuring compatibility and performance.
- Engage across the software lifecycle from gathering requirements to design, implementation, testing, and deployment of software.
- Enhance automation, tooling, and CI/CD workflows for faster development and improved reliability.
- Operate in Linux-based environments, including scripting and troubleshooting at multiple layers.
- Work closely with engineers and researchers to develop effective solutions and transition prototypes to operational use.
- Manage networked systems and software interfaces interacting with data flows and mission environments.
- Liaise with customer stakeholders to align priorities, report progress, and address concerns.
- Supervise subcontractor tasks, offering technical guidance, reviewing outputs, and ensuring quality standards.
- Compile clear technical documentation, including design notes, build instructions, testing evidence, and operational runbooks.
