Requirements
Must:
- Proven experience in Mobile Software Reverse Engineering and malware analysis support.
- Background in software exploitation for applications, middleware, operating systems, and firmware.
- Proficient in software engineering and technologies related to mobile application development for iOS and/or Android.
- Ability to reverse-engineer malicious code from compromised systems and networks.
- Research skills to stay updated on malicious software trends and zero-day exploits.
- In-depth understanding of binary behavior and app performance at the memory level for exploitation operations.
- Experience designing, prototyping, and documenting exploitation automation tools.
- Familiarity with Windows, Linux, Android, OS X, and iOS architectures.
- Understanding of computer or mobile device internals and software engineering processes.
- Proficient with static analysis tools like IDA Pro, Ghidra, and Binary Ninja.
- Skilled in debugging with tools such as WinDbg.
- Experience with virtualization and emulation tools like VMware and KVM.
- Knowledge of programming languages such as C, C++, .NET, Python, and Java.
- Ability to debug mobile application memory and performance issues.
- Must hold an active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Minimum educational qualifications: 7 years with AS/AA; 5 years with BS/BA; 3 years with MS/MA; or 0 years with PhD. A Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Software Engineering is preferred, with four years of additional experience as a substitute for the degree.
Responsibilities
- Conduct reverse engineering of mobile software and support malware analysis initiatives.
- Execute software exploitation against various components including applications and operating systems.
- Develop mobile application solutions in iOS and/or Android environments, focusing on design and implementation.
- Analyze malicious software to isolate and reverse-engineer potentially harmful programs.
- Stay informed about new trends in malware and techniques for identifying vulnerabilities.
- Investigate binary behavior and its memory interactions to aid technical exploitation operations.
- Collaborate in the design and refinement of exploitation automation tools, including documentation and testing efforts.
- Actively engage with diverse operating systems including Windows, Linux, and mobile platforms.
- Utilize advanced debugging tools and static analysis applications for effective software assessment.
- Engineer software scripts and perform API extractions as part of mobile platform development efforts.
- Maintain compliance with industry certifications and standards such as DoD 8570 IAT Level II.
