Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or higher in Systems Engineering or a related technical field such as engineering, physics, mathematics, operations research, computer science, or a related STEM program, or 12 years of relevant work experience.
- 12 years of experience in either government or industry in pertinent work areas, including the DoD/IC Acquisition Process, Requirements Process, PPBES Process, or system engineering in large, complex systems.
- Strong understanding of the systems engineering lifecycle.
- Proven ability to communicate and collaborate effectively both within and outside the organization, especially with senior executives and leaders.
- TS/SCI clearance adjudication or the ability to obtain SCI and pass a polygraph test.
- Desired: Masters degree in Systems Engineering or in a related technical or scientific field.
- Desired: Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering, tools, and languages.
- Desired: Experience with Software Development Frameworks.
- Desired: INCOSE Certified System Engineering Professional (CSEP) certification.
- Desired: Experience in the geospatial intelligence field.
- Desired: Professional engineer licensure.
Responsibilities
- Provide strategic and technical support to the Director of the International Solutions Office (TIP) to enhance mission prioritization, alignment, and integration.
- Analyze existing programs and integrated projects, assisting in making refinements to optimize performance and reduce operating time.
- Collaborate with systems analysts, engineers, programmers, and others to design systems and gather insights on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements, and interfaces.
- Identify risks and obstacles in systems integration efforts, advising the Government on appropriate actions and leading integrated teams to tackle these challenges with minimal oversight.
- Compile reports and correspondence related to project specifications, activities, and overall status.
- Mentor mid-level and junior system engineers engaged in requirements engineering and solutions engineering activities across NSG, ASG, and federal agencies.
- Oversee the planning, analysis, and traceability of user requirements and system architectures while reviewing cloud service capabilities and scheduling parameters.
- Assist in the documentation of customer mission requirements and translate them into system capability requirements and solutions.
- Support analyses and allocate requirements to system architecture components and managing programs accordingly.
- Aid the Government in executing systems integration activities.
- Conduct Analysis of Alternatives (AoAs), Courses of Action (CoAs), Trade Studies, and Engineering Assessments.
- Support the Government in strategic planning, project management, performance engineering, risk management, and interface design.
- Integrate multiple systems, services, processes, and interfaces within Major Systems Acquisitions across organizational and agency lines.
- Solve complex problems independently and proactively while also leading teams with minimal supervision.
