Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience, or a Bachelors degree with 1+ years, or a Masters degree, or a PhD in Computer Science or a related field. 4 additional years of experience can substitute for a degree
- Professional experience in developing applications using HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with at least one modern front-end framework such as React, Vue, or Angular
- Experience in consuming and integrating RESTful APIs within a full-stack environment
- Working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases
- Proficiency with modern development workflows, including Git version control, code reviews, issue tracking, and foundational CI/CD concepts
- Hands-on experience with Python and other programming languages through professional use, academic projects, or personal initiatives
- Capability to work effectively in a secure, mission-focused environment with strong written and verbal communication skills when collaborating with technical stakeholders and government clients
- United States Citizenship and active/current TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph is essential for this role
Responsibilities
- Design and implement modern user interfaces using HTML/CSS and JavaScript/TypeScript, ensuring clean and functional interfaces for research systems, dashboards, analytics tools, and prototype applications
- Enhance front-end applications by designing and coding updates to improve functionality, usability, or performance
- Connect front-end applications with backend services, including RESTful APIs and associated service interfaces
- Develop and apply data access methodologies, including creating queries for existing or proposed databases/data repositories (SQL/NoSQL)
- Collaborate with technical teams to establish UI-driven workflows that meet performance standards concerning latency, throughput, responsiveness, and data accuracy
- Support testing and validation activities, including developing and executing test procedures for UI components and prototype workflows
- Assess system workflows and user requirements by engaging with internal teams, analyzing data usage and processes, and identifying areas for enhancement
- Modify software to correct deficiencies, adapt to new hardware/environments, or improve performance, stability, and user experience
- Provide technical leadership, which could involve leading a feature area, mentoring colleagues, overseeing a UI subsystem, or coordinating UI deliverables across a small team
