Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain TS/SCI
- Associates degree plus 10+ years of experience in a systems engineering-related field; OR a bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of experience; OR a masters degree in computer science, cloud computing, or a related field with 6+ years of experience
- Meet DoD 8140 foundational requirements for a System Developer with advanced proficiency
- 4+ years of hands-on experience in a DevOps or Automation Engineering role within a cloud environment
- Extensive experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) APIs and services
- High-level proficiency with Ansible for infrastructure and configuration management, and experience with OpenStack Heat templates
- Strong capabilities in scripting languages such as Python for OpenStack SDK interaction
- Proficient in Linux systems administration, cloud computing, and virtualization, with a solid understanding of both public and private cloud environments
- Excellent communication and organizational skills for coordinating with customers/tenants
Responsibilities
- Oversee RHOSP Integration & Resiliency efforts
- Work closely with tenant development teams to design and implement CI/CD pipelines that automate workload provisioning and deployment onto RHOSP within our private cloud infrastructure
- Create and maintain modular OpenStack IaC templates using Heat and enhance automation with Ansible to codify private cloud reference architectures
- Ensure all tenant deployments integrate cloud resiliency principles tailored for OpenStack, including Nova availability zones and Cinder volume groups
- Guide tenants in configuring user management, key pairs, and security groups within RHOSP, while applying security best practices on tenant-level RHEL instances
- Integrate automated configuration management (Ansible) for tenant OS deployments
- Collaborate with program system architects, engineers, and our government customer
- Maintain a partnership with Red Hat vendor to stay updated on latest advancements and best practices in Red Hat products
