Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field or comparable experience
- At least three years of experience, including a year with the Department of Defense, focusing on big-data systems and creating production-level data models
- Proficient in machine learning tools for feature selection and classifier optimization
- Strong collegiate-level writing skills with familiarity in U.S. Army structure and regulations
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities
- Solid foundation in data science, machine learning, and statistical modeling
- Capable of conveying complex technical results to various audiences
- Practical experience with Structured Query Language, Microsoft Excel, R or Python programming, data visualization, and presentation skills
- Preferred familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, and Advana data science tools
Responsibilities
- Analyze military operational data to detect trends, patterns, and irregularities that guide strategic decisions
- Clean and preprocess large datasets pertaining to Army operations, logistics, personnel, and intelligence for thorough analysis
- Create dashboards and reports to illustrate key performance indicators and metrics for Army leadership
- Conduct geospatial analysis to aid mission planning, resource management, and situational awareness
- Perform data mining and exploratory data analysis to derive insights from various military datasets
