Requirements
Must:
- 3-7 years of demonstrated experience in project management focusing on application development, infrastructure implementation, and process enhancement initiatives.
- 1-2 years of experience with our company is preferred.
- Preferred: Project Management Certification or formal project management training.
- Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle or Application Development.
- Preferred: Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt Certification.
- Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Computer Science.
- Exceptional project management capabilities.
- Strong aptitude for managing multiple priorities concurrently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Proficient written and oral communication skills suitable for all levels internally and externally.
- Superior customer service abilities.
- Strong relationship-building and teamwork skills.
- Proficient facilitation and presentation capabilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High levels of initiative, drive, and self-motivation.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities.
- Working knowledge of Six Sigma quality tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Access.
- Regular and dependable attendance is necessary.
- Willingness to travel as required, adhere to the necessary schedule, and work at the designated location. Completion of the employment application, background check, and drug screening is mandatory.
Responsibilities
- Oversee multiple minor to major projects from initiation to closure, ensuring timely execution.
- Create and uphold a detailed project plan encompassing requirements, technical solutions, resource allocation, and estimated duration.
- Supervise project activities, budget, and resources to keep the project on track and within the budget, minimizing rework necessity.
- Communicate the status, scope modifications, concerns, and risks to the Executive Sponsor, Project Sponsor, IT Manager, and project team members.
- Implement and sustain the Penske Project Management Methodology, including documentation and tools.
- Provide training and mentorship on the Penske Project Management methodology and tools for both IT and business associates.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancement to eliminate inefficiencies and improve control measures.
- Facilitate teams across different functions to address process improvement initiatives.
- Employ quality tools to assess the success of process improvements.
- Undertake additional projects as directed by the supervisor.
