Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience in software development
- 8-10 years of experience with relevant programming languages (Java, .Net, SQL, etc.)
- Proficient in SQL query development
- Experience with MOCA and Groovy development for Blue Yonder WMS team
- 1-2 years of experience working with Agile teams
- Familiarity with technical project management
- Extensive knowledge of appropriate design frameworks and patterns
- Understanding of industry-standard technology strategies and best practices
- Expert knowledge of the full system development lifecycle
- Skilled at conducting new hire interviews independently
- Ability to work autonomously and guide other team members
- Expert in relational database design and implementation
- Proven capability to estimate and lead medium to large project initiatives
- Capacity to explore emerging software development frameworks and tools
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks effectively in a cross-functional team setting
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; capable of presenting ideas in clear, user-friendly language
- Familiarity with DevOps tools and automation practices
- Commitment to regular attendance and willingness to travel as needed, while fulfilling required schedules and location specifications
- Successful completion of a background investigation and drug screening is mandatory
Responsibilities
- Serve as the main contact and support for one or more critical applications and processes, promptly resolving customer issues
- Play a vital role in managing the application lifecycle (developing, testing, releasing, and supporting) in alignment with detailed requirements from senior engineers and management
- Collaborate with technical and business leaders, and product owners to gather and comprehend requirements and acceptance criteria
- Deliver medium to large sized projects with well-documented, maintainable, and clean code adhering to established coding standards
- Participate in Design and Deploy reviews, securing agreement from cross-functional teams including QA, Architecture, Security, Web Management, and Operations
- Thoroughly document systems, software architecture, and processes, including application documentation and dependency diagrams
- Write unit and UI tests to uncover defects and utilize CI/CD processes for code building and deployment
- Analyze production issues and coordinate with multiple teams for troubleshooting
- Lead the structuring of backend database relationships
- Assign projects and review work delivered by onshore and offshore software engineers
- Offer constructive feedback to management regarding team members on projects
- Engage in the hiring process by assessing candidates technical skills and conducting interviews
- Undertake additional projects as assigned
