Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math, Information Systems, or equivalent development experience
- Preferred Green belt, Black belt, Lean, or PMP certification
- Over 12 years of software development experience
- More than 5 years of experience in managing multiple IT projects throughout the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle)
- Proven experience in overseeing and guiding small to mid-sized teams
- Demonstrated ability in team development and performance management
- Experience in migrating legacy applications to cloud platforms like AWS
- Familiarity with implementing extensive applications that utilize Event Driven and Domain Driven Architecture patterns
- At least 8 years of functional experience with core technologies and architectures, including Java Enterprise Technologies, Spring Boot, RESTful Web services, Angular, SQL, DB2/Oracle, and more
- Experience in evaluating and implementing application software solutions when appropriate
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making abilities
- Capability to build and sustain relationships with various business and IT stakeholders
- Proficient in communicating highly technical concepts clearly to non-technical personnel
- Experience prioritizing technology objectives within specified budget requirements
- Knowledgeable in project management methods and tools
- Strong familiarity with Agile (SAFE) / DevOps approaches or methodologies
- Deep understanding of Integration technologies like Spring Integration Framework and Micro-services
- Expertise in architecture, design, and implementing complex data integrations and services
- Advanced experience collaborating with IT teams to construct scalable architectures for software solutions
- Full fluency and expert-level knowledge in relevant systems/languages
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily management of development teams to eliminate roadblocks and ensure progress
- Ensure development projects are prioritized and completed as per business requirements
- Promote teamwork by conducting regular meetings and liaising with project owners, product managers, and IT teams to negotiate priorities and timelines
- Recruit new team members and facilitate performance reviews, offering guidance for career development
- Guarantee on-time, defect-free delivery of applications complying with our standards
- Ensure technical leads adhere to the Penske Development Process and maintain necessary reporting
- Manage responsibilities across multiple systems and agile teams, alongside cross-functional projects
- Handle various projects, teams, and duties as assigned by management
- Comply with IT security practices, source code management, and follow architectural guidelines
- Coach and mentor team members, enhancing their value to the organization
- Streamline processes within the environment
- Identify future system enhancement and value generation opportunities
- Perform additional duties as assigned
