Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Information Systems, or equivalent development experience
- Over 12 years of comprehensive knowledge and experience in relevant programming languages, frameworks, application architecture, and enterprise design patterns
- 2-4 years of experience in technical project leadership
- Proficiency in technologies, frameworks, and architecture such as Java, Angular, Python, Spring, Spring Boot, XML, JSON, containers, microservices, REST APIs, CI/CD, etc.
- Experience in architecting web applications using microservices and RESTful services
- Background in modernizing legacy applications
- Familiarity with Domain Driven Design and Event Driven Architecture
- Experience with Kafka and AWS
- Strong skills in software engineering, application architecture, and enterprise architecture (on-prem/cloud)
- Awareness of data security and privacy technologies and processes
- Understanding of key trends in digital technology and the vendor landscape
- Proven experience in building and supporting mission-critical business applications
- Demonstrated knowledge of application development life cycles/methodologies
- Ability to mentor diverse teams and effectively communicate with IT and business leaders
- Regular and predictable attendance is a crucial aspect of this role
- Willingness to travel as needed and comply with all application requirements including background checks and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Design and implement enterprise-level application systems while making enterprise-wide technology recommendations
- Ensure adherence to application architecture standards, principles, and frameworks
- Assist in the creation and maintenance of reference architectures and roadmaps for digital technology deployment
- Actively engage in the governance of digital technologies and support related projects as necessary
- Support Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) aspects of digital technologies
- Conduct research and analysis of third-party software solutions, and recommend whether to use external software or develop solutions in-house
- Utilize various tools and techniques to troubleshoot and resolve application and software issues, contributing significantly during production triage calls
- Proactively identify and address the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats related to application architecture
- Manage projects and/or solutions to meet client group expectations
- Collaborate closely with the Architecture team to assess task quality and provide ongoing feedback to project members
- Lead and assist Application Development Leads, associates, and contractors in understanding software development frameworks, best practices, and architectural patterns
- Participate as a key stakeholder in Design and Deploy Tollgate reviews
- Conduct technical interviews for new hires
