Requirements
Must:
- I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or possess equivalent experience.
- I have over 5 years of experience in Data Engineering (BI/DWH/ETL) Development, including at least 4-5 years working with Talend and Big Data.
- I have 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience with Data Engineering, Data Visualization, or Data Science projects.
- I have 3 to 5 years of experience with distributed database environments and related database concepts.
- I have 3 to 5 years of experience specifically in Talend Data Integration and Big Data skills.
- I am experienced in working with Talend, Microservices, CICD workflow, and complex transformation components. I manage Talend code artifacts using repository tools such as Git or SVN and am well-versed in deploying, migrating, and publishing code in Talend Environments.
- I have experience in writing complex SQL in DB2, Oracle, Greenplum, or S3 Data Lakes.
- I have knowledge of Hadoop-based analytics, including HBase, Hive, Pig, Map Reduce, Apache Sqoop, and Apache Spark.
- I have experience with any cloud platform, preferably AWS.
- I am proficient in programming languages, especially R, SAS, Python, C/C++, Ruby, Perl, and Java.
- I possess full lifecycle development experience in a large complex transactional processing environment.
Responsibilities
- I will formulate and define system scope and objectives, preparing detailed specifications for projects.
- I am required to participate actively in data architecture, data modeling, statistical modeling, regression analysis, and the implementation of best practices.
- I will collaborate and work with multiple team members across various IT and business teams, while also mentoring junior team members.
- I will prepare functional specifications, technical designs, and test plan documentation for all projects.
- I will be involved in building data pipelines, data ingestions, data integrations, data preparations, NLPs, and traditional data warehouse or BI systems across multiple projects.
- I will design, validate, and implement multiple projects (BI & Analytical) across a hybrid infrastructure (cloud and on-premises).
- I am willing to work across multiple Data Engineering platforms and projects.
- I will provide technical support to end users and ensure regular, predictable attendance, which is essential for this role.
- I am prepared to travel as necessary, follow the required schedule, and complete the Penske employment application, which includes submitting to a background investigation and drug screening.
Description
As a Penske Talend Developer (Associate Data Engineer III), I will take on a project leadership role, focusing on high-level and technical systems design for new and enhanced systems. I will perform software testing and provide support to end users for a diverse range of applications. This position can be based out of our corporate headquarters in Reading, PA, or our IT Center in Tampa, FL.
