Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Engineering, or related fields
- Masters Degree preferred
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of embedded engineering experience including coding (Python/C++), Linux, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with vehicle electrical architecture; experience with vehicle telematics preferred
- Strong professional communication skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of Vehicle Network Architecture and IT Architecture
- Ability to interpret technical specifications of hardware
- Basic mechanical skills
- Project Management skills
- Proficiency in coding with C/C++ and Python
- Experience with Linux
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts
- Advanced presentation, collaboration, and time management abilities
- Regular and predictable full attendance is essential
- Willingness to travel as necessary and to undergo background checks and drug screening
Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the development of hardware and software functionalities by understanding available tools and working with suppliers and developers
- Establish and implement quality control processes for installations, including the creation of installation instructions for devices in applicable OEM chassis
- Develop container applications through coding, ensuring compatibility and efficiency; work with technical and business stakeholders to align requirements
- Identify and escalate emerging trends or issues, communicating necessary information to relevant teams to mitigate any potential impacts on fleet health
- Oversee customer deployment targets and schedules, collaborating with field locations and customers to ensure consistent coverage
- Undertake additional projects and tasks as assigned
