Senior Infrastructure Engineer - Cloud Focused

- Collaborate with architects, project managers, and stakeholders to assess requirements and design technical solutions for the healthcare and research communities. - Conduct in-depth research on new technologies and methodologies, providing strategic recommendations and implementation roadmaps. - Deploy and maintain hyperconverged systems and solutions within a hybrid cloud setting. - Manage and support Windows, Linux, Azure, and VMware infrastructures. - Administer the backup and recovery infrastructure while developing a support plan with key IT partners. - Oversee ticket management for service requests, incidents, and change requests. - Provide after-hours and on-call support to resolve incidents, maintain infrastructure, and bolster operational efforts. - Work closely with architects and stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of infrastructure initiatives. - Facilitate collaboration with network, security, development, and application teams to integrate infrastructure components that support new technologies. - Mentor and train junior infrastructure engineers. - Act as a liaison between operations and architecture teams, providing escalation support for server and operations groups. - Review proposed designs and architectures, identifying risks and offering remediation strategies in alignment with established standards and organizational architecture.
