Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Over 5 years of experience in database administration and data architecture
- More than 5 years of proficiency with database programming languages
- Familiarity with Cloud technologies is preferred
Responsibilities
- Conduct tasks to ensure database systems are recoverable, secure, and operating efficiently
- Monitor and maintain high performance and availability of database systems, coordinating system behaviors and utilizing existing tools
- Collaborate with team members for successful project implementations and ensuring system availability
- Support key projects and initiatives related to database infrastructure, coordinating with stakeholders and outlining action plans
- Provide solutions aligned with user expectations based on defined requirements
- Conduct research and analyze data to assist in troubleshooting production issues
- Coordinate with other DBAs and users for issue resolution
- Guide and educate team members in alignment with management goals
- Execute duties in accordance with Penn Medicines values, policies, and procedures
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned to support the department and health system organization
