Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- Over 3 years of experience in managing Linux systems
- Proficiency in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and similar distributions
- Experience with web application software debugging
- Strong scripting skills for process automation
- Familiarity with performance monitoring and capacity planning
- Ability to document systems, applications, and changes accurately
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Capability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to uphold Penn Medicines values and policies
Responsibilities
- Administer and provide services to Penn Medicines systems and clients, including PSOM faculty, staff, and students
- Deploy, configure, manage, and troubleshoot Linux-based servers
- Install and debug diverse web application software on server platforms
- Automate repetitive tasks and design custom monitoring solutions
- Contribute to the formulation of specifications, policies, and standards
- Maintain thorough documentation of all systems and changes
- Create new server accounts in accordance with established protocols
- Assist Linux server users in line with service-level agreements
- Execute responsibilities in alignment with the values and regulations of Penn Medicine
- Support various needs of the unit, department, entity, and the broader health system
