Must:
- Epic Certification, Proficiency, or Accreditation (Required)
- High School Diploma/GED and 9+ years of relevant experience in Healthcare Applications or Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems (Required)
- Associates degree and 8+ years of relevant experience in Healthcare Applications or EMR systems (Required)
- Bachelors degree and 6+ years of relevant experience in Healthcare Applications or EMR systems (Required)
Responsibilities
- Lead a team on service projects by establishing clear objectives and distributing resources effectively.
- Involve in the recruitment, training, mentoring, and guiding of new hires on internal processes, educating application analysts on various tasks, including testing and configuration of applications.
- Conduct proactive analysis, troubleshooting, and resolution of straightforward to moderately complex issues at the technical, interface, and application levels.
- Provide direction and support to team members while engaging in collaborative decision-making with stakeholders.
- Understand integration of applications and ensure full interoperability of systems utilizing interfacing standards.
- Deliver customer support, acting as a bridge between operational departments and Information Services.
- Serve as an application expert, possessing extensive knowledge of application features, data analysis, and clinical documentation demands.
- Clearly communicate workflow modifications associated with software/hardware updates and best practices proposed by vendors to operational stakeholders.
- Assist in detailing and documenting user requirements and outlining potential system enhancements.
- Keep comprehensive records of configurations, customizations, and support processes.
- Adhere to all relevant guidelines, policies, and procedures to ensure necessary controls and documentation.
- Perform tasks in alignment with Penn Medicine values and procedures, alongside other assigned duties to support the unit and organization.
