Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related discipline - Over 5 years of professional software development experience with progressive responsibilities - Proficient in computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns - Experience in developing and debugging applications using Java, Python, or Typescript - Knowledge of web application development, specifically with Spring, Flask, or Angular frameworks, as well as HTML and CSS - Capable of full-stack development, including the ability to create and deploy CRUD applications - Familiar with Spring Boot framework, scalable microservices, RESTful APIs, and security best practices - Skilled in unit testing and various testing frameworks - Experience with relational and non-relational databases - Strong oral and written communication abilities Desired Skills: - Familiarity with AWS DevOps, including AWS services and architecture, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code - Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, or related orchestration systems for containerization and load balancing - Understanding of message queues and asynchronous programming - Knowledge of various operating systems, such as RedHat Linux and Windows - Proficiency in Git workflows and project management tools like Atlassian/GitHub - Experience in Agile Software Development Life Cycle - Familiarity with astrodynamics tools like STK, ODTK, and FreeFlyer

Responsibilities

- Provide full-stack development support for NASAs Flight Dynamics Facility - Collaborate with flight dynamics engineers and teams to establish software requirements - Define problems, develop requirements, formulate solutions, and implement them to address NASA operational needs - Identify and incorporate new software methods and opportunities from various sectors to enhance FDF software and architecture - Develop, code, test, and troubleshoot software within a real-time operational environment focused on quality, performance, scalability, and maintainability - Introduce enhancements to existing policies and procedures to improve operations - Prepare and present materials for stakeholder approval during engineering milestone reviews - Work as part of a team to deliver 24/7 operational support, including on-call and on-console assistance for mission launches and re-entries - Engage in direct feedback and collaborate with engineers, analysts, and system administrators to assess short-term and long-term needs
