Requirements
Must:
- 2-3+ years of experience in data center operations or IT hardware installation
- Expertise in server rack installation, cable organization, and transceiver setup
- Familiarity with data center infrastructure including power distribution and cooling systems
- Understanding of networking principles such as Ethernet, fiber optics, and transceiver compatibility
- Capability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces
- Willingness to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and reaching for long durations
- Strong attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Proficient problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team
- Preferred certifications such as CompTIA Server+, Data Center Technician, or similar
- OSHA 10 or equivalent safety training is a plus
- Availability for flexible hours, including nights, weekends, or on-call shifts as needed
Responsibilities
- Safely transport, set up, and secure server racks within the data center, ensuring proper alignment and stability
- Organize, route, and label data and power cables to uphold a neat and safe workspace in line with industry standards
- Install, test, and troubleshoot optical transceivers to guarantee stable network connectivity
- Assist in the configuration and setup of servers, networking equipment, and related hardware
- Keep precise documentation of installations, cable layouts, labeling, and inventory records
- Comply with data center safety protocols, including the proper handling of machinery and usage of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Collaborate effectively with data center engineers, facilities staff, and vendors to meet operational objectives
Description

We are currently looking for talented Data Center Technicians to join our dedicated team in Childress, TX. Offering an hourly pay of $35+ based on experience, this role involves working 40 hours per week from Monday to Friday, starting in mid-February for a duration of 1-2 months. Joining us means you will be an integral part of building and maintaining advanced IT infrastructure.
