Requirements

Must:
- High school diploma required - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred - Cisco CCNA: Routing & Switching certification is strongly preferred - Cisco CCNP Routing & Switching certification is strongly preferred - Over 6 years of practical experience in network administration and support - Proficient with LAN/WAN technologies such as TCP/IP, MPLS, VPN, BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, and NAT - Experienced with network performance tuning tools and protocols (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, IP SLA) - Familiar with Cisco IOS and NXOS platforms, as well as Cisco Datacenter technologies (Nexus 7K/9K/5K, UCS, vPC, FEX) - Knowledgeable in Cisco Routed Campus technologies (Catalyst 9500/9300 series) - Experienced in Layer 3 Access configuration and maintenance - Skilled in configuring and administering F5 LTM, including Virtual Servers, Nodes, Pools, iRules, HA, App Delivery, and Logging - Understanding of global load balancing solutions - Experienced in network automation and scripting (Python/Ansible preferred) - Knowledgeable about network backup and archive procedures - Familiar with Software Defined Networking (SDN), VMware NSX, and Cisco ACI - Experienced in Network Access Control (NAC) and 802.1x - Competent in using Cisco Stealthwatch and other monitoring/analysis tools - Proficient in DHCP and DNS configuration, management, and troubleshooting - Experience in disaster recovery planning and implementation - Awareness of emerging networking technologies and trends - Excellent evaluation, prioritization, and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

- Design, implement, and maintain core campus and datacenter network infrastructure, including hardware, software, and licensing - Ensure optimal performance, security, and reliability of network systems - Mentor team members and provide networking expertise to support business initiatives - Document network configuration and topology accurately - Establish and maintain networking environments by configuring systems, directing installations, and adhering to standards - Design and implement complex network solutions for new sites, relocations, upgrades, expansions, and disaster recovery setups - Troubleshoot performance issues related to network availability, utilization, throughput, and latency - Apply best practices in networking while staying updated with industry standards and vendor roadmaps - Use automation tools to enhance network operations and identify safe opportunities for automation - Define and enforce network policies and procedures - Manage and configure disaster recovery systems, including documentation and testing - Administer DHCP and DNS configurations, setup, and maintenance - Configure and support load balancing solutions, including F5 LTM and global load balancing - Secure the network by implementing access controls, monitoring, and evaluation methods - Monitor, analyze, and tune network performance continually - Collaborate with vendors to test, deploy, and assess new technologies and enhancements - Participate in disaster recovery planning, development, and exercises - Provide technical training and documentation for users and peers - Contribute to budget planning and monitor expenses relating to network operations - Identify efficiency improvement opportunities for services - Act as a subject matter expert to management and recommend new technical solutions to meet business needs - Maintain detailed documentation of duties, configurations, and issue resolution - Lead or assist in documenting network architecture, applications, and resources - Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and policies - Mentor and support the professional development of junior staff - Stay up to date with emerging network technologies and best practices - Engage in training and partake in professional organizations and continued learning
