Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science or Software Engineering - Over 5 years of professional experience managing enterprise-scale cloud platforms, preferably AWS and GCP - Familiarity with highly regulated environments requiring strict audit and compliance measures (e.g., SOC2, FINRA) - Demonstrated ability to develop reusable infrastructure, manage state in extensive systems, and automate workflows/tooling using Java, JavaScript, and C# - Proficient in Kubernetes, Docker, and GitOps, with specialization in custom controllers and multi-cloud security/identity access - In-depth knowledge of networking (TGW, Shared VPCs, Cloud Interconnect, DNS, BGP) and high-throughput data streaming (Kafka/Confluent Cloud) - Experience in building monitoring technologies using Prometheus, Grafana, and distributed tracing - Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills to convey complex data concepts to non-technical audiences - Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously - Exceptional problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and implement a secure, scalable, and highly available cloud platform architecture - Advise on cloud services (compute, storage, networking, database) and establish best practices for governance, security, and cost management - Utilize Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) patterns to create a robust cloud platform, emphasizing modularity, reusability, and version control - Create, automate, and refine efficient CI/CD pipelines that enable development teams to deploy at high velocity and with safety - Analyze usage reports to optimize compute instances (CPU/RAM/Disk) and adjust architectures for cost efficiency - Serve as the primary liaison for cloud vendor relationships - Establish comprehensive observability layers that integrate metrics, logs, and tracing in line with service level goals - Set up automated alerts for infrastructure failures and manage performance triage through monitoring analysis - Report on monthly performance, capacity metrics, and resource availability - Collaborate with Security & Risk teams to implement automated compliance, least-privilege IAM structures, and proactive threat modeling - Employ DevSecOps practices (CSPM, vulnerability scanning in CI/CD) to identify misconfigurations at the pull request stage - Design and automate intricate, least-privilege IAM structures utilizing Permission Boundaries, SCPs, and dynamic IAM role creation - Develop integrations for applications to utilize dynamic, short-lived credentials while automating SSL/TLS certificate rotation
