Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of one year of experience in equipment service or operation of agricultural machinery.
- High school diploma is a must.
- Technical school degree or college degree is preferred.
- Prior installation or operational experience in feed manufacturing, handling, and distribution is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities; basic Spanish skills are advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Proficient math, analytical, and troubleshooting capabilities.
- Self-motivated and well-organized individual.
- Familiarity with Windows-based PCs is required.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and electronic devices.
- Valid drivers license and capability to pass a background check, drug screening, and vehicle record verification.
- Understanding of cattle feeding, feeding systems, feed ingredients, and formulations is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Independently service, troubleshoot, and repair various equipment and systems at customer sites.
- Oversee systems at designated customer locations to ensure optimal performance and make adjustments or repairs as needed.
- Monitor product inventory at customer locations to ensure there is always enough for uninterrupted operations.
- Deliver products from our warehouse to customer sites when necessary.
- Offer technical assistance and training to customers to ensure proper equipment operation and achieve desired outcomes.
- Travel to customer locations using a company vehicle; maintain vehicle and driving records to adhere to company standards.
- Complete necessary documentation and records as required.
- Work overtime as needed, often without prior notice.
- Undertake additional duties as assigned to the Field Service Technician role.
