Requirements
Must:
- Active SECRET security clearance and ability to maintain it.
- Bachelors degree in a STEM field.
- 3 to 10 years of experience in systems engineering or a related field.
- Familiarity with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Proficient in MagicDraw.
- Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse group of personnel.
- Experience in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Software Systems Engineering team to create program-level features using a Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach that outlines MEI and CSCI behaviors, performance metrics, and acceptance criteria to guide the software development process, utilizing Jira and Confluence for task documentation in an Agile setting.
- Compile artifacts and relevant information into Program Engineering Documents (PEDs).
- Facilitate and lead both internal and formal reviews of assigned features, managing the resolution of feedback on those features.
- Engage in regularly scheduled team stand-ups, planning sessions, retrospectives, and prioritization meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Description
We are seeking a THAAD system-focused Software Systems Engineer to join our team in support of the Integrated Fires Mission Command (IFMC) Project Office and the Air and Missile Defense (AMD) Mission Command Product Office. In this role, you will engage with contractors, U.S. military personnel, government civilians, and system operators to facilitate mission-critical ITI software development by converting Solutions Engineering Documents (SEDs) into actionable Program Engineering Documents (PEDs). This position demands close collaboration with system architects, solutions systems engineers, software developers, and integration teams to provide a unified and effective solution that fulfills operational requirements. Our competitive compensation ranges from $175,000.00 to $190,000.00 annually and includes comprehensive benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), and paid time off. This is an in-person role.
