We are seeking candidates who are currently pursuing specialized training in computer science and information systems (or an equivalent field). The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, demonstrating the ability to explain technical concepts clearly. Additionally, you should have excellent adaptability and learning capabilities, good interpersonal skills, and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality. Please note that occasional weekend work may be required.
Responsibilities
As part of our close-knit IT team, your key responsibilities will include overseeing the technological infrastructure of our organization, planning our IT strategy, and leading a team to ensure the functionality, security, and efficiency of our information systems. Under the guidance of the General Director and in collaboration with the Group's IT department, you will:
- Manage daily operations of the user computer network and coordinate all user requests with the internal IT team.
- Ensure the installation, maintenance, and configuration of workstations, mobile devices, and other network-related equipment.
- Oversee the entry and departure of users, providing troubleshooting and assistance.
- Maintain proactive monitoring to anticipate potential issues and maximize user satisfaction.
- Apply security standards in collaboration with the Group's IT department and participate in projects aimed at enhancing overall security.
- Act as a direct contact with the Group's IT department and be responsible for the execution of the group's IT strategy.
- Manage the operational budget and strategic IT projects for our park, collaborating with external suppliers, consultants, and authorities.
Description
We also expect you to assist in drafting documentation for training and knowledge-sharing purposes, maintain open communication with all staff and the IT team, and deliver individualized or group training sessions. In terms of technical skills, you should be familiar with basic networking principles, have experience with network equipment management (such as firewalls, switches, and wireless systems), and possess knowledge of VDI. Experience with security standards and best practices in IT security is crucial, and skills in managing an Active Directory environment and the O365 suite are highly desirable. Proficiency in French is mandatory, and knowledge of English will be considered an asset. We offer a full-time position, with a variable contract (either temporary for 6 months or permanent depending on qualifications) starting as soon as possible. The work location is Hemmingford, QC, with a remuneration starting at $31.25 per hour. Additional benefits include dental insurance, disability insurance, and reduced or free food.
