Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- At least 5 years of practical experience with Microsoft SQL Server
- Demonstrated expertise in database software development, query optimization, and performance enhancement
- Solid understanding of ETL methodologies, data transformation, and reporting strategies
- Familiarity with jQuery and HTML for front-end data presentation and reporting
- Knowledge of C# and the .NET Framework for integration and application development
- Capability to collaborate effectively with end-users, business analysts, and stakeholders to capture requirements and deliver solutions
- Strong problem-solving abilities and troubleshooting skills, particularly in database performance issues
- Excellent communication, time management, and project coordination abilities
- Comfortable working with sensitive, confidential, and regulated data in the nuclear energy sector
- Commitment to strict data governance, security, and regulatory compliance standards
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and refine intricate SQL queries and database schemas using Microsoft SQL Server for low-code web applications
- Enhance and support current database systems and data integration workflows
- Create and uphold ETL processes utilizing our internal data hub systems
- Engage in the entire project lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and deployment
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on dashboarding and reporting functionalities
- Diagnose performance issues, data integrity problems, and bugs in reporting
- Optimize the performance of stored procedures, queries, and indexes
