Requirements
Must:
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; advanced degree is a plus
- Minimum of eight years of experience in application design, development, and management
- Proven success in leading application development teams specializing in web-based development and distributed systems
- Strong communication, organizational, and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with leadership experience
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly with medical provider applications and data, is highly preferred
Responsibilities
- Supervise the support and enhancement of a purchased Salesforce application, ensuring optimal use of standard features and configuration tools
- Establish a philosophy focused on configuration to minimize custom coding, only utilizing it for critical business needs
- Evaluate requests for custom development based on alignment with business goals and technical feasibility
- Work with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable Salesforce configurations
- Stay informed about Salesforce platform updates and ensure the team adopts new features while maintaining compliance with standards
- Create and uphold comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, and support processes
- Oversee existing system maintenance and the implementation of prioritized new systems
- Define and implement best practices for design, development, and testing; establish performance metrics
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to track software project deliverables, including schedules and risks
- Manage the development environment to ensure operational efficiency and scalability
- Lead the assessment of third-party controls, maintaining accurate inventories and a shared library
- Mentor team members, delegate responsibilities, and manage HR activities like performance reviews
- Align application strategies with business objectives and ensure effective communication with team members and users
- Identify improvements to application support, operability, and performance
- Analyze and report on service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Manage budgets and project prioritization, including release scheduling
- Participate in 24/7 on-call responsibilities as needed
- Drive DevOps and Agile methodologies within the application portfolio and foster continuous improvement initiatives
