Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline
- Over 5 years of experience in software security, with a minimum of 2 years focused on industrial or manufacturing applications
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10)
- Familiarity with secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) practices
- Preferred relevant security certifications (CISSP, CEH, CSSLP, Security+)
- Understanding of industrial security standards (IEC 62443, NIST preferred)
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication abilities to convey security concepts to diverse audiences
- Collaborative mindset when working with development teams
- Proactive in identifying and mitigating security risks
- Adaptable with a commitment to continuous learning
- Willingness to travel 15%-25% for security assessments and industry events
- Experience with security assessment tools (Nessus, Snyk, Black Duck, Fortify, etc.)
- Knowledge of network security, authentication protocols, and encryption technologies
- Familiarity with electronics manufacturing processes and systems
Responsibilities
- Oversee the security aspects of MES software applications within the electronics manufacturing sector
- Collaborate closely with the development team to embed security into every facet of the software
- Influence security design decisions throughout the application portfolio
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing on MES applications
- Identify and document security vulnerabilities while recommending remediation strategies
- Implement and maintain security testing tools and methodologies
- Assist in designing and deploying secure architecture for manufacturing software systems
- Perform security-focused code and design reviews to pinpoint potential vulnerabilities
- Establish security standards and guidelines for the development team
- Evaluate and suggest security tools and technologies fitting for manufacturing settings
- Work alongside developers to enforce security controls and resolve vulnerabilities
- Lead security incident responses for software-related security occurrences
- Stay updated on emerging threats and security trends in manufacturing technology
- Provide security training and guidance to the development team
- Aid in security compliance activities and risk assessments
- Document security processes and controls for auditing purposes
- Monitor and report on security metrics and KPIs
