Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science (Masters degree or equivalent military experience is preferable).
- Over 10 years of experience in front-end ASIC design with responsibility for delivering 2 or more chips to mass production.
- Proficient in SystemVerilog RTL.
- Proven ability to select, integrate, and configure complex IP blocks for high-speed interfaces such as PCIe, Ethernet, or DDR.
- Skilled in scripting languages including Python, C/C++, Perl, bash, or tcsh.
- Strong capabilities in:
- Defining micro-architecture based on high-level requirements.
- Designing datapaths for complex synchronous/asynchronous digital logic.
- Debugging throughout simulation, emulation, and silicon phases.
- Analyzing timing, power, and area reports and implementing solutions.
- Excellent leadership qualities and communication skills, both written and verbal.
Responsibilities
- Develop clear design and micro-architecture specifications.
- Create SystemVerilog RTL that satisfies area, performance, and power specifications.
- Conduct verification of design blocks using simulation, emulation, formal methods, and during silicon bring-up.
- Work collaboratively with verification engineers to troubleshoot complex scenarios, enhance coverage, and implement design-for-debug capabilities.
- Collaborate with physical-design teams to review synthesis/timing reports, modify RTL for critical path closure, and assist with floor-planning to mitigate congestion and improve routability.
- Explore and pilot AI-driven design or verification processes that minimize schedule risks.
