Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, focusing on cloud-native application development in large organizations or innovative startups
- Proficient programming skills in Python, Go, or Java, with a history of building distributed systems
- Experience using AI coding tools
- Familiarity with cloud-native service development stack on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform or OCI
- Understanding complex Cloud Networking Topologies and Multi-Cloud Interconnect
- Expertise in cloud development (REST APIs, Databases, Serverless computing) for distributed cloud applications
- Education: M.S./B.S. degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy highly scalable software features on our next-generation security platform as part of the NextGen Firewall as a Service team
- Own the complete workflow for the expanding service
- Lead collaboration with internal and external cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Foster an open engineering environment to suggest and enhance the development process for a v1 service
- Identify, articulate, and mitigate risks in ongoing and planned projects to ensure smooth execution and high output, including providing mentorship and communicating with project stakeholders
- Collaborate with DevOps and Technical Support teams to troubleshoot customer issues and enhance customer experiences
- Design and develop the front end for the service across multiple platforms
- Interview, mentor, and coach new team members as we grow our team
