Requirements
Must:
- BS/MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Comprehensive professional experience in software engineering with a strong focus on MLOps, ML systems, or deploying machine learning models at scale.
- Advanced programming skills in Python are mandatory; familiarity with a systems language such as Go, Java, or C++ is a plus.
- Significant practical experience in designing and constructing large-scale distributed systems on a leading cloud platform (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, or OCI).
- Proven ability to lead the architecture of complex ML systems and MLOps pipelines using technologies like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Proficiency in ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch) and hands-on experience with advanced inference optimization tools (ONNX, TensorRT).
- Strong grasp of popular model architectures (e.g., Transformers, CNNs, GNNs) is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise with modern LLM inference engines (e.g., vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM) is essential; contributions to open-source projects in these areas are advantageous.
- Experience in low-level performance optimization, such as developing custom CUDA kernels or using Triton Language, is a benefit.
- Familiarity with data infrastructure technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Flink) is a plus.
- Awareness of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton) is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Lead the architectural design of a high-performing, low-latency, and resilient ML inference platform tailored for diverse models in real-time security scenarios.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to the team, promoting best practices in MLOps, software development, and architectural design.
- Spearhead strategies for optimizing model and system performance, guiding research and implementation of advanced optimization techniques, including custom kernels and hardware acceleration.
- Establish and uphold engineering standards for automated model deployment, comprehensive monitoring, and operational excellence of all production ML systems.
- Serve as a critical technical liaison to other principal engineers, architects, and product leaders to shape the future vision of the Prisma AIRS platform and ensure seamless system integration.
- Address the most intricate and challenging technical issues in expansive inference, from countering emerging security threats to reaching extraordinary performance objectives.
