Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree, Masters degree, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. - Significant professional experience in software engineering, focusing on MLOps, ML systems, or scaling machine learning models. - Proficiency in Python programming; experience with languages such as Go, Java, or C++ is a plus. - Extensive hands-on experience in designing and developing large-scale distributed systems on major cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure, or OCI). - Proven experience in leading the architecture of complex ML systems and MLOps pipelines utilizing technologies like Kubernetes and Docker. - Mastery of ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch) along with extensive experience using advanced inference optimization tools (e.g., ONNX, TensorRT). - Strong understanding of prevalent model architectures (e.g., Transformers, CNNs, GNNs), with deeper knowledge of attention mechanisms being an advantage. - Proven expertise with modern LLM inference engines (e.g., vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT-LLM); open-source contributions are a significant advantage. - Experience in low-level performance optimization, including custom CUDA kernel development or using Triton Language, is advantageous. - Familiarity with data infrastructure technologies (e.g., Kafka, Spark, Flink) is beneficial. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Tekton) is a plus.

Responsibilities

- Lead the architectural design of a robust, scalable, and low-latency ML inference platform for diverse real-time security applications. - Develop technical strategies for ambiguous product requirements, ensuring optimal alignment between product features and technical implementation. - Drive technical leadership and mentorship within the team, promoting best practices in MLOps, software engineering, and system design. - Strategically enhance model and system performance, guiding advanced optimization techniques such as custom kernels, hardware acceleration, and innovative serving frameworks. - Establish and uphold engineering standards for automated model deployment, effective monitoring, and operational excellence across production ML systems. - Act as a pivotal technical liaison with other principal engineers, architects, and product leaders to shape Prisma AIRS platforms future and assure system coherence. - Address complex technical challenges in large-scale inference, including mitigating novel security threats and reaching extraordinary performance metrics.
