Requirements
Must:
- High school diploma or equivalent is a must (some college preferred)
- Valid drivers license is necessary
- Willingness to travel to job sites weekly
- Ability to pass a substance abuse screening
- Self-driven with the capability to work independently
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate in a team environment as well as work autonomously
- Basic proficiency with tablets and computers
- Physical ability to walk and stand for long periods on uneven surfaces
- Ability to drive for extended durations during working hours
- Readiness to work outdoors under varying weather conditions
Responsibilities
- Inspect contractor work for adherence to project specifications
- Identify and communicate discrepancies between field operations and contract stipulations
- Prepare daily Field Observation Reports and weekly progress updates
- Monitor materials, quantities, and inventory on the job site
- Annotate construction prints and create precise as-built documentation
- Submit reports on fiber loss, schematics, and final project documentation
- Conduct concluding inspections to verify project completion and site cleanup
- Locate and confirm existing telecommunications utilities as necessary
- Map project areas and position proposed telecom routes and facility sites
- Update staking sheets to reflect changes occurring during construction
- Review and submit revised documentation to ensure accuracy
