Requirements
Must:
- Proven background in software testing for mobile (Android & iOS) and web applications across different browsers and devices.
- Strong expertise with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, and Jenkins; preference for experience in UI automation frameworks.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, C#, and JavaScript; familiarity with C++ and PHP is advantageous.
- Practical experience in database testing using SQL queries with MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server; knowledge of PL/SQL or T-SQL is a plus.
- Understanding of version control systems including Git (GitHub/GitLab), SVN, or TFS; experience in integrating tests within CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure for testing cloud applications is desirable.
- Knowledge of REST APIs for API testing; experience with XML and JSON data formats.
- Exposure to operating systems including Windows and Linux; knowledge of shell scripting (Bash/Unix) is beneficial.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting; exceptional attention to detail in documenting defects.
- Ability to effectively collaborate within Agile teams; excellent communication skills are a must.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field is preferred; relevant certifications in software testing are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement thorough test plans, test cases, and test scripts for software applications on Android, iOS, Windows, Linux, and web platforms.
- Automate testing procedures utilizing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, and Jenkins to enhance efficiency and coverage.
- Conduct manual testing as required to verify user interfaces (UI), functionality, performance, security, and compatibility of mobile applications and web services.
- Use programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, C++, and PHP to develop reliable automation frameworks.
- Execute database testing using tools like SQL, MySQL, Oracle, and Microsoft SQL Server to ensure data integrity and backend processing.
- Work with development teams to detect defects early by employing version control systems like GitHub, GitLab, SVN, TFS, and Azure DevOps.
- Incorporate testing processes within CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins or Azure DevOps to facilitate seamless deployment workflows.
- Evaluate test results using data analysis skills to uncover trends or persistent issues affecting product quality.
- Accurately document defects in Jira or similar tracking software; collaborate with developers to resolve issues.
- Engage in requirement evaluations to ensure testability; contribute to enhancements in the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
- Stay up-to-date with emerging testing tools and industry best practices related to DevOps, cloud platforms (AWS), REST APIs, UI/UX standards, and operating systems.
