Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- 3–5+ years of background in systems administration and IT security.
- Solid understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching).
- Experience with firewalls, endpoint protection tools, and backup solutions.
- Familiar with security frameworks and best practices.
- Capable of independently troubleshooting intricate technical issues.
- Preferred industry certifications (CISSP, CISM, Security+, Microsoft, AWS, or similar).
- Preferred experience with SIEM tools and log analysis.
- Preferred knowledge of scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Preferred experience in regulated sectors (e.g., healthcare, finance, government).
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Keen attention to detail and a high standard of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- High degree of professionalism and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and oversee server operations.
- Manage virtualization resources and cloud services.
- Provide Microsoft AD support for On-Prem and Azure environments.
- Execute system patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management tasks.
- Monitor system performance and address hardware, software, and network issues as they arise.
- Maintain backup systems and implement disaster recovery strategies.
- Enforce and uphold security controls across servers, endpoints, and network infrastructure.
- Set up and manage firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and endpoint protection mechanisms.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and coordinate remediation measures.
- Review logs and alerts; respond to and document security incidents accordingly.
- Implement access controls, multi-factor authentication, and least-privilege policies.
- Develop and maintain IT security policies and procedures.
- Sustain infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless networks.
- Ensure secure remote access for staff and vendors.
- Enhance network performance and reliability.
