Requirements
Must:
- 2+ years of experience in IT support with a focus on networking or field service.
- Proven expertise in configuring 4G/5G cellular modems and routers.
- Strong grasp of TCP/IP, NAT/PAT, VLANs, and DHCP protocols.
- Proficient in remote management tools such as TeamViewer, Bomgar, or specific cloud portals of manufacturers.
- Familiarity with firewall security best practices.
- Experience with IoT device management is preferred.
- Familiarity with carrier networks and SIM provisioning preferred (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile).
Responsibilities
- Configure, deploy, and maintain enterprise-grade cellular routers (e.g., Cradlepoint, Peplink, Teltonika, Inseego).
- Manage secure site-to-site VPNs and remote access solutions (VNC, Remote Desktop), along with firewall setups.
- Diagnose and resolve connectivity issues, focusing on WAN troubles, signal strength (RSSI, RSRP), and SIM card malfunctions.
- Proactively monitor network functionality and performance using cloud-based management platforms like Cradlepoint NetCloud.
- Assist in connecting peripheral devices (such as IP cameras, sensors, PLCs) to the network, ensuring secure data transmission.
- Maintain thorough documentation covering device configurations, IP management, and site layouts.
- Collaborate with local contractors or onsite personnel for hardware installations and physical troubleshooting as necessary.
