Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Technology, including team leadership and on-site IT support roles.
- Background in a manufacturing setting and/or knowledge of manufacturing operations systems (e.g., MOM, MES).
- Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts into clear business language.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a track record of identifying root causes and implementing successful solutions.
- Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, managing competing priorities, and maintaining oversight across multiple initiatives.
- Effective negotiation skills, with experience managing expectations with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and web-based business tools.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience or sound understanding of application development methodologies and related technologies.
- Preferred: Experience in global or cross-cultural team environments.
- Preferred: Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) frameworks and ticketing systems.
- Preferred: Bilingual proficiency in English and Japanese.
Responsibilities
- Lead and oversee IT team members to ensure timely and high-quality task execution.
- Define and manage the teams vision, objectives, and goals.
- Manage team performance through coaching, feedback, and professional development planning, including career guidance and training.
- Foster a positive, ethical team environment that encourages collaboration and accountability.
- Encourage active participation in continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen) and professional development activities.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
- Act as the primary IT contact for manufacturing site operations, ensuring alignment with business priorities and technical standards.
- Monitor system performance, implement proactive solutions, and lead root cause analysis to prevent recurring issues.
- Develop and execute operational strategies aimed at enhancing system reliability, scalability, and efficiency.
- Coordinate and escalate complex issues and outages across the team and to upper management.
- Assist senior IT leadership by executing delegated tasks.
