Requirements
Must:
- Candidates must have an active Secret security clearance and the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in a System Engineer role or a similar position with a solid comprehension of IT infrastructure is essential.
- Proficiency in Python, RegEx, Splunk, MySQL, XML, WDS, and DHCP is required.
- Excellent analytical skills to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling collaboration within a team environment.
- A bachelor’s degree is mandatory. Applicable certifications are preferred; however, we are willing to cover training costs when required.
Responsibilities
- I expect you to independently write Python scripts with minimal support from the team.
- You will create RegEx functions as needed.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to establish system requirements and specifications will be part of your daily tasks.
- Troubleshooting and resolving IT infrastructure issues, including WDS and DHCP configurations, is a key responsibility.
- You will conduct system testing and validation to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Description
This position is 100% onsite. We are looking for an experienced Senior System Engineer to become part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate should have a robust background in IT infrastructure and at least 3 years of practical experience with back-end development in Splunk. You will coordinate with various developers and engineers to integrate their data into the Splunk platform. Compensation and Benefits: This is a full-time role with an annual salary ranging from $125,000.00 to $145,000.00. We offer three weeks of paid time off (PTO) and 11 paid federal holidays, along with medical, dental, and vision insurance. Other benefits include 401(k) matching, a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options, and life insurance. Please note that this role requires a commute to Rosslyn, VA 22209 and is an in-person work position.
