Requirements
Must:
- 7+ years of experience in programming and machining
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Advanced proficiency in Siemens NX CAM, Hypermill, or Mastercam
- Detailed, organized, and systematic project management skills
- Strong background in advanced CNC control operations (Heidenhain, Siemens, Fanuc)
- Excellent blueprint interpretation, shop math, and GD&T capabilities
- Familiarity with industry-standard material and process specifications
- Knowledgeable in cutter selection and contemporary manufacturing techniques
- Skillful at maintaining tight tolerances on high-value components
- Experience working with exotic or high-temperature materials
- Effective communication skills and proficient in MS Office applications
- Experience with additive or 3D printing is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop highly efficient and repeatable programs for complex aerospace components
- Utilize advanced programming skills to operate 3-5 axis mills, lathes, and mill/turn machines, including Hermle, Doosan, and Okuma systems
- Plan and outline the manufacturing sequence from beginning to end
- Create and maintain detailed setup sheets, sketches, and manufacturing instructions
- Design high-quality fixtures and tooling to support both new and existing programs
- Collaborate with machinists for efficient setups and first article inspections
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and optimize fixtures for improved manufacturing processes
- Provide technical support and resolve programming, technical, and tooling issues promptly
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives for both new and existing manufacturing processes
