Must:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Extensive hands-on experience managing database technologies (Oracle and SQL Server) in a production support environment.
- A solid track record of reducing reactive incidents through proactive monitoring, tuning, automation, and ongoing improvement.
- A strong background in database administration, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and backup and recovery strategies, as well as high availability/disaster recovery solutions.
- Experience managing large, complex, highly available Exadata environments.
- Proven expertise in incident management processes and a demonstrated ability to quickly recover from complex, high-impact database production issues.
- Strong skills in database performance tuning, query optimization, indexing strategies, and maintaining database integrity and security.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, including mentoring technical teams, fostering professional growth, and building high-performing teams.
- A thorough understanding and practical application of ITIL methodologies, incident/problem/change management frameworks, and principles of continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills necessary for effectively interacting with senior leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
- The capability to develop strategic technical roadmaps, implement best practices, and promote the adoption of emerging database technologies and practices.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
As a Site Reliability Manager in PNC’s Site Reliability Center, I will lead my team of Site Reliability Engineers responsible for:
- Implementing, maintaining, and enhancing robust monitoring response sites and infrastructure applications.
- Recommending and facilitating the implementation of infrastructure improvements necessary to maintain site performance in response to business growth and strategy.
- Streamlining the deployment process via automated configuration management tools to reduce deployment time and boost efficiency.
- Overseeing technical solutions for complex business and application challenges, while defining and communicating technical standards and best practices.
- Managing proactive reviews and audits of production sites, issue triage, and follow-up.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable and highly available infrastructure.
- Maximizing staff contributions through professional growth and development to enhance teamwork and effectively address business needs.
Description
