Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in COBOL programming
- Experience with GoAnywhere and JCL (Job Control Language)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and development of stored procedures
- Hands-on experience in scripting and batch processing across both legacy and contemporary technologies
- Solid understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, best practices, and application design principles
- Ability to effectively test software applications using a data-driven development approach
- Strong problem-solving skills, including experience in scheduling, testing, installing, and implementing software programs
- Proficient in troubleshooting and maintaining computer software systems
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the Maintenance and Operations team by supporting various projects throughout the software development life cycle
- Gather requirements, code, test, and address issues related to software, data, and system functionality
- Develop and test COBOL and JCL applications in adherence to design, accessibility, and usability standards
- Analyze, design, and document structured programs based on user requirements
- Create and review documentation, such as specifications and test cases
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues for both internal and external clients
- Ensure adherence to agency coding and documentation standards
- Execute additional tasks to support ongoing operational continuity
