Requirements
Must:
- Proficient in Java, JSP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Bootstrap 2.0
- Experience with SQL, including DDL, DML, and stored procedures
- Familiar with Spring MVC, Spring Boot, and Spring Batch
- Knowledgeable in Web API development with SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON (REST is preferred)
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) concepts and technologies
- Experience with MS Azure cloud technologies including Java on Azure, Azure SQL Server, and JBOSS EAP on Azure
- Proficient in scripting and batch processing in both legacy and current technologies
- Skilled in building WCAG compliant web applications
- Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles and practices in application programming and software design
- Capable of accurately testing software applications using a data-driven development approach
- Strong problem-solving abilities, including scheduling, testing, installing, implementing, and troubleshooting computer software systems
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with GitHub in a DevOps cloud environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for documenting relevant issues and preparing concise, reliable reports
- Familiarity with SDLC tools such as Visio, Miro, ERWIN, Jira, Confluence, and ALM Octane
- Knowledge of additional programming languages like .Net and C#
- Experience integrating web services across cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and PaaS environments
- Experience in automating identity management services, including user authentication and authorization using authentication frameworks like Azure, Okta, LDAP, and Entra
- Familiarity with Texas Workforce Commission processes

- Develop and maintain full-stack applications using Java and associated technologies
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement new features
- Ensure the applications meet WCAG compliance standards
- Tester software applications with a focus on a data-driven development approach
- Troubleshoot and resolve software issues as they arise
- Participate in the software development life cycle and contribute to project planning and design discussions
- Document code and processes for clarity and future reference
- Integrate web services across various cloud platforms
- Automate identity management services to enhance security protocols
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to report on project progress and any roadblocks
