Requirements
Must:
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- User-centered design and data visualization expertise
- Proficiency in SQL and relational database principles
- Demonstrated experience with analytics tools
- Familiarity with Epic applications and database architecture, acquired through initial training
- Ability to gain a comprehensive understanding of the data model through specialized classes
- Knowledge of data structures beneficial for the overall data ecosystem
- 3 years of relevant experience for internal applicants or Altera employees at PIH Health
- Bachelors Degree in computer science, mathematics, information systems, or statistics is preferred
- Active Epic certifications in specific data models for external applicants (Access, Clinical, Revenue Data Model Certifications)
- Experience in regulated environments, such as FDA or HIPAA, is advantageous
- Previous experience in a hospital or clinic environment is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop analytical content catering to end users and external stakeholders requiring Epic data
- Transform healthcare data into actionable insights through the creation of dashboards, reports, and analytics solutions using Epics reporting tools
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure data accuracy and relevance
- Maintain and enhance existing BI solutions to improve usability and effectiveness
- Participate in training sessions for Epic applications to gain deeper knowledge of the data model
- Stay current with industry best practices in business intelligence and healthcare analytics
