Requirements
Must:
- Over 8 years of hands-on experience in e-commerce website management
- Proven expertise in design, optimization, and development of storefronts
- Extensive knowledge of WooCommerce and Odoo platforms
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other relevant programming languages
- Experience in inventory-driven and ERP-integrated systems
- Nice to have: Experience with digital advertising platforms like Google Ads and Meta
- Nice to have: Skills in video creation and optimization for products
- Nice to have: Familiarity with AI tools for content generation and SEO research
- Nice to have: Advanced understanding of SEO, including Structured Data and Core Web Vitals
- Nice to have: Strong analytical skills and mindset
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the ERP/CRM Manager for seamless e-commerce functionality
- Maintain and refresh product, category, and landing pages, along with promotions and educational content
- Ensure a clean, intuitive, and conversion-oriented site navigation and checkout process
- Manage updates, plugins, extensions, and third-party integrations
- Oversee secure payment processes, fraud prevention, and chargeback mitigation
- Conduct QA testing before and after updates or deployments
- Uphold brand consistency across all online platforms
- Implement website security best practices
- Handle backups, access controls, admin permissions, and incident responses
- Troubleshoot issues related to orders and checkout errors
- Monitor customer feedback, reviews, and behavior trends
- Provide training for internal staff on website and e-commerce systems as necessary
- Manage SEO initiatives including digital marketing and conversion optimization
- Optimize product listings and content for search engines
- Design and execute promotions, bundles, and seasonal campaigns
- Collaborate on email marketing, SMS campaigns, and retargeting efforts
- Track and analyze conversion rates, bounce rates, and cart abandonment metrics
- Manage Odoo synchronization with online product catalogs, pricing APIs, and inventory orders
- Maintain APIs and webhooks for optimal user experience
Description
At PGS Gold & Coin, we are searching for a Senior Woo-Commerce Developer & Website Manager to enhance our online storefront. Located in Palatine, IL, this in-house role is vital for overseeing daily operations, optimization, and integration of our website and eCommerce platform. We offer a competitive pay range of $25.00 to $35.00 per hour with no less than 40 expected hours weekly.
