Requirements
Must:
We require candidates to possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
- Relevant certifications such as MCSE or MCITP.
- Over 7 years of experience as a Systems Administrator and/or Server Engineer.
- Proficient in Enterprise level Networking, including advanced troubleshooting, configuration, and administration of switching and routing.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012 and later versions, including roles such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, and GPO.
- Advanced skills in PowerShell for creation, modification, and implementation of scripts.
- Expertise in Microsoft 365 Advanced Administration, Microsoft Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft Endpoint Management Administration.
- Experience with firewall installation and configuration (Sonicwall is a plus).
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills, particularly in performance.
- Excellent documentation abilities.
- Familiarity with spam filter technologies.
- Hands-on experience with equipment related to rack and stack, as well as physical cabling.
- Experience with backup solutions and wireless access points (Unifi is a plus).
- Familiarity with MDM and Apple Business Manager.
- Additional technical knowledge, including Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, URL filtering (DNS Filter is a plus), SAN storage technologies, and experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
- Experience with PSA tools (ConnectWise/Halo is a plus) and troubleshooting of printers, faxes, and scanners.
- Knowledge of terminal services and Microsoft failover clustering is welcomed.
- Experience in cybersecurity is an additional asset.
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation is a requirement, along with the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will work directly with customers and partners, providing specialized knowledge in hardware and software installations, troubleshooting, and configuration suggestions. My core duties will include:
- Delivering outstanding customer service while efficiently managing multiple calls and service tickets with minimal oversight.
- Balancing numerous tickets and requests in high-pressure situations, while also handling escalations from Level 1 and Level 2 technicians.
- Providing advanced installation, support, and maintenance for both physical and virtual servers, as well as core infrastructure components like switching and routing.
- Managing configuration for desktops, servers, core infrastructure, and various services (e-mail, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
- Assisting in planning and responding to client project requirements where necessary.
- Diagnosing computer system issues quickly and accurately to implement the most effective solutions.
- Learning new technologies swiftly to stay current in the field.
- Being part of an on-call rotation for after-hours support as required (for tasks such as server reboots and firmware updates).
- Traveling to customer offices as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided.
- Maintaining punctuality and executing additional assigned tasks as delegated by management.
Description
This full-time position features competitive compensation starting at $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
